Dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi, Chandi Devi Temple is an ancient popular temple in the holy city of Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Atop the Neel Parvat of the Sivalik Hills, this 19^th century temple was built by the King of Kashmir, however, the statue of the goddess exists here from the 8^th century itself. The temple features among five pilgrimages within Haridwar, and it has a deep religious significance.    

Like Mansa Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple, devotees flock here in great numbers to pay their reverence to the goddess and get their wishes fulfilled. You need to trek along a 3-km route and climb a number of steps to reach the temple or can avail ropeway service, which you prefer. Featuring among the most ancient temples in India, it attracts a big number of devotees during festival times.     

Chandi Devi Temple is one of must-visit sites in Haridwar and pilgrims often come here to get their wishes fulfilled. The temple of Anjana is another major attraction nearby – a temple dedicated to the mother of monkey-god Hanuman.
