The Courtallam Waterfalls (or Kutralam Waterfalls) are one of most popular attractions in the Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu. The place Courtallam has a total of 9 waterfall and that’s why, it’s also termed as the 'Spa of South'. The waters of the falls are believed to possess medicinal qualities as they flow through herbs and forests. A visit to the Courtallam Waterfalls gives the opportunity of trekking through rocks and hills to reach one falls after another. There is also the Honey Falls or Thenaruvi which cascades down from a height of 40 m. Entry is not allowed to all waterfalls here as the risk of flash floods is the reason behind that. July to October is the best time to visit the Courtallam Waterfalls and enjoy the essences of nature at their rawest best!
