Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary is a well-known place in the Little Rann of Kutch of Gujarat. Also known as the Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary, it stretches over an area of 4954 square km making it the largest wildlife sanctuary in India. Established in 1972, it’s one of the rare places, and perhaps the last places in the world, to spot Indian Wild Ass (Khur).
Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary is popular because it is a home to an endangered Asiatic Wild Ass species Onager (Equushemionus).
