The Pink City Jaipur has many wonderful attractions and among them all, Jal Mahal or the Water Palace is perhaps the most serene for its location. Away from the chaos of the historical city, the palace seems like floating in the center of the Sagar Lake and looks every bit mesmerizing. Once a shooting lodge for the Maharaja and now a major tourist attraction, the palace is low-rise and symmetrical in shape and delights the sense.

Jal Mahal is literally floating on the deep blue waters of the lake and its golden stone walls present a perfect stark to the settings. Once a palace and now a heritage restaurant, this palace is majestic in true sense and without doubt, one of the most photograph-friendly monument. At some 4 km north of the main city, the Water Palace is surely one of major attractions in Jaipur.     

There may not be much to do for visitors at the Jal Mahal but clicking photos and relishing the amazing architecture and design would make up for all what is missing.
