The Keoladeo National Park is a bird heaven in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. This park was formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and it’s long been an iconic bird sanctuary. Keoladeo National Park came into being as a royal hunting place in 1850s as it serves princes, Maharajas and British ear officers in different periods of time. It became a national park in 1982 and then achieved the status of World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985.
