Shaukat Mahal is a one of the most unique and popular structures of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It’s believed to be some 180 years old and is a combination of Western and Islamic style of architecture. Designed by a Nawab Qudisa, the Mahal is located in the center of the city of and remain a famous place for tourists to the city. This building’s unique design and architecture attracts many tourists from the different part of the world.
Shaukat Mahal is believed to be designed by a Frenchman who used white marvel to decorate this building. A visit to this landmark structure gives tourists a peek into the history and culture of the city. Unfortunately, this heritage place is on the verge of ruin due to the government negligence but yes but many local people and NGO's are doing effort to protect this heritage building.
Shaukat Mahal is located near Sultania Road, in the center of the city, and it’s easily accessible by the transport and local taxis in the city. October to March is the best time to visit this Mahal when the weather remains cool. This place is open every day in a week except Friday. There are many local hotels for stay so accommodation won’t be a problem for sure.
