Shillong, popularly called as ‘The Abode of the Clouds’ enjoys a high tourist’s score in the north-eastern state of Meghalaya in India. The peak is located at a height of 1965 meters above sea level, giving a heart-warming and eye-catching view of the Khasi Hills embracing the beautiful city of Shillong.

Shillong Peak is one of the highest located peaks in Meghalaya and therefore, considered a must visit site by the tourists. The peak is located 10 kms away from the city and offers a great deal to the admirers of nature and adventure. Since, there is an Indian Airforce Radar Station here, entry passes are required to be taken to visit this peak. Also, do not forget to carry your ID Proof while going to see the Shillong Peak. The Shillong Peak has a lower temperature comparatively. It can be easily reached using local transport. The site offers a panoramic view of the entire valley Shillong is located in, making it a biggest tourist attraction.
