The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a major tourist attraction in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Some 500 meters from the mainland and right into the sea, this edifice is a zenith of scenic beauty and carries a great historical and religious significance. The memorial is as much holy as it an architectural wonder drawing visitors from far off places. Ingurated in 1970, the memorial was installed to honor one of the greatest leaders, and a saint, of India, Swami Vivekanand.
