Deogarh is a very small historical town located in the district of Rajsamund, Rajasthan. Situated in the southern Rajasthan, some 135 kms Udaipur, it's known for the Mahal and its world popular Chanderi Sarees. Tourists flock here to get an amazing view of the Aravalli mountain range besides enjoying several lakes and attractions like Deogarh Mahal, Dashavatar temple and Mahanstambha.
When we talk of tourist attractions, then the Deogarh Mahal - now a heritage hotel- emerges as the biggest of them all here. Built in the 17th century, it offers a splendid view of the Aravalli Mountain besides being charming for its disintegrating battlements, domes, latticed windows and turrets. The ancient Dashavatar Temple, devoted to Lord Vishnu, is another prominent tourist place here.
Manastambha is a group of 31 Jain temples which attract tourists from all parts of the globe. It's known for its panel portrays from Jain mythology where more than hundreds of Jain figures are visible. The nearby Chanderi town attracts crowd for its globally-popular Chanderi Sarees. Other tourist attractions here include Mughal fort, the Koshak Mahal, the Badal Mahal and Jama Masjid etc.
Deogarh is well connected by road to major cities like Udaipur, Jaipur and Jodhpur.
